"Cruel and Unusual," an eye-opening depiction of the blatant discrimination transgender people endure, portrays the challenges faced by transwomen in men's correctional facilities. Debuting at the SF International LGBT Film Festival on Wednesday, June 21 st, 6pm at the Victoria Theatre.

The Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless or income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.

The Trans/Gender Variant in Prison Committee works to end the discrimination, medical neglect, abuse and violence experienced by transgender and gender variant people, and people with intersex conditions in CA prisons.
